The Kenya Animal Genetic Resources Centre (KAGRC) participated in the ASK Eldoret National Show 2026 held from 4th March to 8th March 2026.
During the exhibition, the Centre showcased its superior livestock genetics designed to adapt to changing climatic conditions. The participation aligned with the showโs theme, โPromoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth,โ highlighting the importance of sustainable agricultural practices in the face of climate change.
KAGRC demonstrated its range of innovative genetic products and services aimed at improving livestock productivity. These included high-quality breeding solutions that support farmers in achieving better milk and meat yields while maintaining resilience in harsh and unpredictable environments.
The Centre used the platform to engage farmers, inseminators, and other key stakeholders from across the region. Visitors to the KAGRC stand interacted with the extension team, gaining insights into modern breeding technologies and the benefits of adopting climate-smart livestock production practices. KAGRC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting farmers with resilient, high-performing breeds that enhance productivity while addressing the realities of climate change. The Centreโs participation underscored its ongoing role in driving sustainable agricultural development and strengthening food security in Kenya.
