Kwale, October 13th โ The Kenya Animal Genetic Resources Centre (KAGRC) team, led by Managing Director Dr. Benadatte Misoi, paid a courtesy visit to Kwale County Deputy Governor, H.E. Josephat Chirema Kombo, and the County Executive Committee Member for Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries, Mr. Roman Shera.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss collaborative strategies aimed at empowering livestock farmers in Kwale County. Discussions focused on enhancing access to quality animal genetic materials, improving livestock productivity, and identifying potential areas for partnership in future development projects between KAGRC and the Kwale County Government.
Dr. Misoi emphasized KAGRCโs commitment to working closely with county governments to strengthen the livestock value chain through sustainable breeding and capacity-building initiatives. On their part, the county leadership expressed appreciation for KAGRCโs continued support and reaffirmed their readiness to collaborate in advancing livestock development within the region.
The visit marks a significant step toward fostering partnerships that enhance agricultural resilience and promote economic growth for livestock farmers in Kwale County and beyond.
KAGRC undertakes testing of Liquid Nitrogen containers for interested clients on request to determine their efficiency.
