The Kenya Animal Genetic Resources Centre paid a courtesy visit to the Taita Taveta County Government โ Wundanyi Sub-County Agriculture and Veterinary Services Offices on 4th February 2026. The meeting focused on exploring areas of cooperation and collaboration, with key discussions centered on plans to establish a KAGRC distribution and sales outlet in Wundanyi. Once operational, the outlet was expected to provide access to superior animal genetics for farmers and inseminators in Taita Taveta County and the wider Coastal region.
The KAGRC delegation was led by the Head of Extension Services, David Sang, alongside Ms. Silvia Otunga. The County team was led by the County Director of Veterinary Services (CDVS), Jeremiah Ngugi, together with Dr. Nasra, the Sub-County Veterinary Officer. The engagement marked an important step toward strengthening livestock productivity and enhancing service delivery through strategic partnerships.
