Sale of Bull Semen

KAGRC distributes semen, Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) and Artificial Insemination (AI) Equipment through seventy three (73) appointed agents spread within the Country.

In addition, KAGRC, has established Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with over twenty nine (29) County Governments that purchase semen Liquid Nitrogen and AI equipment directly from KAGRC.

Currently the Centre is dealing with bull semen but in KAGRC’s strategic plan, semen for other species e.g. goats, pigs, poultry, donkeys, camels and other animals will be availed.

KAGRC produces liquid Nitrogen which is used in semen processing and preservation at its three (3) Liquid Nitrogen plants in Sotik-Bomet County, Ndomba-Kirinyaga County, and Lower Kabete –Nairobi County.

The Liquid Nitrogen is sold to Agents and AI inseminators. The Centre will soon install other LN2 plants in Kakamega and Voi counties and operationalize the ones in Marimba -Meru, Nyahururu-Nyandarua and Eldoret- Uasin Gishu Counties.
